London Esports Names HereEast as Official Training Facility Partner

December 7, 2021

London Esports is extremely excited to announce its latest partnership with Here East, the innovation campus on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as an official training facility partner.

London Esports, an esports team based in London and run by Londoners, will be working with Here East as the latest addition to the campus’s growing esports community. Focusing on gaming and esports activations, London Esports will have private space that allows them to continue their growth throughout 2022.

Earlier this year, Here East published an ambitious plan alongside the London Legacy Development Corporation and Arena Consultancy to create a world-class esports cluster on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

London Esports will join a community of esports, gaming and content developers at Here East that includes Sports Interactive, Bidstack and Staffordshire University London, which became the first university to provide esports undergraduate courses in 2019.

The Founder and CEO of London Esports, Alfie Wright, said the following regarding the partnership:

“Since meeting Gavin in 2019 and hearing about his vision on how HereEast can play apart in the UK’s growth in esports, I knew that we needed to be involved. I am now very excited that we can announce this partnership. I’m sure, together, that we can continue to build what is an exciting time for UK esports and both London Esports and HereEast will play a major part in this.”

Gavin Poole, CEO of Here East, comments,

“London Esports will bring deep understanding and expertise of competitive gaming and the talent required to thrive in the industry to our growing esports campus at Here East. Our community of esports content developers, students and tech innovators will relish the opportunity to learn from, and collaborate with, London Esports. I am delighted to welcome them to our campus.”
